Paul first started playing darts in his parents back garden in Dudley, West Midlands, he entered local competitons around his home town, and almost every week won the joint of meat that was the Winner's prize and regulary picked up the £ 50.00 winners prize at the Imp's Sports and Social Club weekly darts competition.
Paul has played for different counties over the years: West Midlands, Warwickshire, Hampshire and now plays for Berkshire. Currently playing for Debbie's Boys in the Berkshire Superleague. Locally playing for three Dart Leagues: Monday for Eastleigh Railway Institute in the Eastleigh & Bishopstoke District Dart League, Tuesday for Wote Street Hampshire's in the Basingstoke Inter Club Dart League and Wednesday's he plays in a cash singles league held at Basingstoke Rugby Club.
Paul uses Elven custom made darts and are 24 grams.
Paul first major title came in 2005 when he took the title at the British Classic, he has four England caps and has appeared 6 times at Lakeside getting to the quarter finals in both 1995 and 2006.
Currently living in Hampshire with his wife Angela, who also manages his exhibition bookings and travel arrangements.
His hobby outside of darts is following his beloved football team of West Bromwich Albion.
